At Peredur Eurythmy Training we aim to meet the individual needs of each student and support him/her through the process of transformation the training brings about.
The four-year training leads to a Diploma in Eurythmy, fully accredited by the Section for Performing Arts in Dornach. We are now accredtied by the British Accreditation Council (BAC) and can issue visa's for overseas students.

1st Year Includes:
Expansion/contraction, awareness of the directions of space, seven basic rod exercises, three-fold walking, rhythms, all sounds of speech in movement - vowels & consonants. Basic elements of music pitch, rhythm and beat, treble and bass, angle gestures for tones of a scale, awareness of others, moving together.
2nd Year Includes:
Study of the elements: earth, water, air, fire; soul gestures, thinking feeling willing forms, colour in movement, in music all major and minor diatonic scales, interval gestures and forms. Concordances - relationship of vowels to intervals, chord and dischord gestures. Solo work in creating own choreography and choosing gestures.
3rd Year Includes:
Grammar forms, dramatic eurythmy ~ head and foot positions, the planet gestures, lyric, epic and dramatic poetry. Forms by Rudolf Steiner. Learning to differenciate styles of music; Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Modern. Solo work continues.
4th Year Includes:
Deepen all aspects. Zodiac gestures, elemental beings, polar opposites of Lucifer/Ahriman. Working on the figures for the gestures. Fairy Tale. If possible experiencing movements to different instruments, expressing musical harmony in space. Deepening of solo work. Create whole programme as a graduation piece.
We also welcome those who would like to join the training for one year only, to find renewal, for self development, during a sabbatical or just for the joy of moving together with others. We also offer regular day-time and evening classes that are open to all.
All 4 years include:
Throughout the four years the following subjects will be studied in addition to eurythmy:
On a weekly basis for all 4 years:
Music theory, choir, speech formation and voice projection, anthroposophy, pedagogy.
In 6-week blocks:
Clay modelling, form drawing, painting, poetics, anatomy.
